This video records a trip to the crash site of a USAF RB-36H, bomber, tail number 51-13721. The crash occurred the night of March 17-18, 1953 near Nut Cove, Newfoundland. Tom Drodge, who resides near the crash site in Shoal Harbour, NL, Canada, wrote a book about the crash titled, "Under the Radar: a Newfoundland disaster." He published it in December 2011. The trip recorded here was for the purpose of taking some photographs for inclusion in the book. I (YouTube ID LogyBayer) accompanied Tom as did Ward Lockyer. The video and photos presented here are some of the images that I took that day. The music used for this video was composed and sung by the book's author. It's taken from Tom's Gospel CD, "In The Roof".
