A Newfoundland fisherman song. My rendition is based on the Doreymen version, with all due respect. A lot of great accordion song tunes are from Newfoundland, and this one has always been a favourite of mine. I dedicate this posting to my brother Dean who hand-built his own 25 foot wooden sailboat and sailed across the Atlantic in it. He's looking for a crew for his next voyage if you are interested. I'd go, but salt water is not good for accordion reeds! Played on my 1935 Hohner Erika.(less)
