How to sum up what this song is about is pretty tough. You can make it whatever you want it to be. We wrote the song based on what it must be like to suffer from Alzheimer's.
I don't have any personal experience with Alzheimer's but have alw...ays thought about how devastating it must be to forget everything you've done in life. The people you've met and loved...the places you been and things you've seen.
How many hours do people with this debilitating disease sit alone and stare off at unfamiliar surroundings. How they must wish to regain the memory of their past.
Home is supposed to be a safe place where you are surrounded by loved ones. How can it be considered a safe place if you don't recognize the people there.
Some memories come and go. Some people look familiar but not really sure if you know them or not. People come and go and you are not sure if they are someone you know and love or if they are complete strangers.
So in closing, we would like to thank you for taking the time to listen to our song. The next time you hear of someone suffering with Alzheimer's, please don't pass them off as just somebody who doesn't remember, think of them who once were people who loved, laughed, cried, and lived!
