Ragged Beach is a spectacular stretch of coastline in Witless Bay Newfoundland. It has traditionally been used a recreation area for hiking, berry picking, picnicing and watching whales, icebergs and seabirds. It is the closest point of land to the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, and as such, a very sensitive environmental area.
It is currently under threat of destruction by a proposed housing development which will open up the whole area to development. If this happens it will be lost to the people of the town, province, and indeed all who visit this area from all over the world. Please help us save Ragged Beach.
