The first day of Salmon Fly Fishing season (2011) on the Conne River, Bay d'Espoir, NL. It is just after alot of rain and the river is swollen from bank to bank. The film shows the path leading down to Goodyears, fishing at Goodyears, then at Camp Four. These places are still known today by names used by Bowater Pulp and Paper Company which operated in the Bay d'Espoir area in 1940s and 1950s. The Conne River is a salmon river on the south coast of Newfoundland, and anglers come from many places to fish the Atlantic Salmon as they migrate upstream to spawn.(less)
