RNC Seek Public Assistance to Identify Remaining Poppy Can Thieves
(ST. JOHN'S), January 11, 2012 -- The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is requesting the assistance of the general public in identifying the remaining persons responsible for two outstanding poppy can thefts in Mount Pearl, NL.
On November 2, 2011 between 6:30pm and 8:30pm two males entered two different Tim Horton's Restaurants in the Mount Pearl Area and stole the poppy cans from both locations.
As seen in video surveillance, the two male suspects enter the store and appear to work together in the commission of the offence.
RNC Patrol Officers are continuing to investigate these thefts and are seeking the assistance of the general public. Anyone that has information that would assist in identifying the persons responsible or anyone that may have any information in relation to this crime is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
