The Newfound Project was a collection of videos filmed during the summer of 2006 by a group of close-knit friends. The idea came after Chris Farrell met with his cousin Matthew Ingram and Branden Boyd with the concept of a random comedy-based internet show starring them and their friends. With Matts camera in hand, and a group that would call themselves the Newfounders, The Project was created.
Newfound Project included 6 original episodes, as well as a Christmas Special and a Road Trip video. The Newfounders were also responcible for Obnoxiously Gay Man, a one-off skit about a gay superhero, acted out completely with action figures. The original episodes and OGM will be the only things making their way back on to YouTube.
The summer of 2007 marked the beginning of NFP2, but only two episodes were filmed, the last being filmed exactly one year after the original episode. This would be the final Newfound Project film.

This was the first Newfound Project video made. Filmed in the rain on the same exact day it was thought of, this still stands as possibly the best NFP video to date. Newfounders Matt, Chris, Brad, Thomas, Colton, and Curtis star in this as the action starts down Breakwater "the great peninsula you will see millions of times in our videos." This video started the Newfound News, the crazy run-in guy, and the use of situation comedy that became the strong point of what Newfound Project really was.
WORTHLESS TRIVIA: Though Branden Boyd was with Chris and Matt earlier in the day when the idea of Newfound Project was created, he was not present at the first taping due to being called in to work. This was also filmed on his birthday.(less)
