This is my last day of work on Beacon of Light here in Trinity before returning to Toronto. Last night the capelin started rolling in about 1 minute from where I am staying in Dunfield. Capelin are a small fish like a smelt that are the main source of food for a lot of bigger fish, seals,whales...and clearly birds. Every year around this time they roll up on the beach to spawn...and then pretty much die. "Circle of life" kind of thing. Haven't seen it since I was a kid. Special.(less)
