The group formed in 1983 when Johnson and Chaulk, both teachers in Glovertown, met up with Blackmore.
Ray Johnson is an accordion and fiddle player from Job's Cove, Conception Bay, who already had six albums to his credit before he started with the band.
Kevin Blackmore is originally from Gander but moved to Glovertown, Bonavista Bay in 1983.
He was formerly with Chris (Lorne) Elliott as the duo act Free Beer.
Wayne Chaulk is from Charlottetown, Bonavista Bay.
