The Kraft Celebration Tour kicked off in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland on August 20th, with anchors Darren Dutchyshen and Jennifer Hedger hosting SPORTSCENTRE live from the small community on Conception Bay.
Each of the 10 winning communities received a 25,000 community refresh from Kraft Canada to be used for improvements to a local facility that supports active and healthy living in the area.
On Saturday afternoon it was Brighton's turn. A cheque for 25,000 was presented to ENSS Head Coach Tim Larry to go towards the overall goal of 850,000 needed to build a track and sportsfield at ENSS for the school and community.
As of late July, the funding for the track so far amounts to 537,508.
East Northumberland Secondary School garnered a record 587,759 votes, beating out the Elmvale Community Centre.
