AC/DC tribute band Thunderstruck performs on George Street in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada on July 31st 2006 at The George Street Festival. Video taken by George Noel and features 3 songs.. Thunderstruck, TNT and You Shook Me All Night Long.
The George Street Festival is an annual event in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada that takes place towards the end of July, leading into August (normally for 6 days) and leading upto the annual Royal St. John's Regatta. It takes place on George Street in downtown St. John's in the bar district. A wide variety of acts are normally attracted to the event from local & national artists to aging international artists or new up and coming talent to cover bands.
George Street is known as "The biggest little street in Canada!" and has made St. John's have the reputation of being "The Party Capital Of Canada!" The reason being, in a one city block radius, you have 22 bars.. the most bars per capita in one area than anywhere else in Canada! The tribute band Thunderstruck has been one of the more popular tribute bands to visit George Street over the years. I was there to capture some of their performance.(less)
